Our client are based in Ballymount in Dublin 12. They are within a niche engineering business and were set up by the existing Manager Director approx 40 years ago.
They have depots throughout Ireland and have a number of engineers always on the road. Due to retirement, they have a vacancy for an Accounts Manager / Office Manager to join the company. There are four people in the office (some part time), a number of warehouse operatives, engineers and the MD. There would be sales order processing to be completed, some POs, dealing with suppliers, updating Excel spreadsheets and communicating across all depots. You should have excellent advanced knowledge of MS Excel as you will be using this on a daily basis.
From an accounts perspective, they are looking for a person who can complete the purchase invoices, take on some credit control, complete the statutory returns and ensure the bank is reconciled on a monthly basis. The system being used is ABM. Full training will be provided. Indeed, the retiree is leaving the company in March, but they want you to join the company as soon as possible in order to learn all the processes and systems and assimilate as much knowledge from someone who has been with the business for many years.
The office is open plan. Salary is at 33k plus pension and group VHI scheme and bonuses.
